DOCUMENT OF THE POLITICAL GROUP OF THE CSOA ON THE ORGANZATION OF THE MEETING REGARDING THE EVALUTAIONS OF THE CARAVAN 99 AND THE CREATION OF THE EUROPEAN NETWORK

In the last meeting, the political group dealing with the organizaion of the meeting of evaluation of the caravan99 and cration of the european network came to the definition of some points, which look to us particularly important.

First of all, we feel to say that a meeting based only on the evaluations of the caravan cannot fully reflect the propositive political contents that in paricular concern the CSOA il Molino and the whole movement, which shows in such occasion an important impulse toward the creation of a real internationalization of the fight to the overpower of the neoliberism, and not dely that. We think that a program of the meeting based on two days of evaluation of the caravan and two days dedicated to the future, with the cositution of the European network could better satisfy the expectations of more participants.
In the case you agree to organize the meeting in this propositive form,we ask you to let us know as soon as possible, either with the list or with private e-mail, how many and who plan to attend the meeting.
This would give us the possibility to count the participants , and to see if we can invite and involve (in the last two days) antagonist groups that maybe have not directly partecipated to the organization of
the caravan, but that can be seriously interested in the creation of a antagonist european network.
Regarding this, we invite all of you to clarify as soon as possible whether the Molino is an accepted place, whether the meeting occurs from 8 to 11 july, and to let us know as soon as possible the number of paricipants, as we plan to limit the number of paricipants to the meeting to 100. Indeed for reasons of organization and closeness of time, we would prefer to host the meeting two weeks later if possible (22-25), if not we will be ready for the 8-11 july, but please let it known as soon as possible, thanks.
We repeat that our organization can guarantee a maximum of sixty dayly meals; for the remaining people we can organize sandwiches.

LANGUAGE AND MODERATOR

We can say that the Molino is against the cultural rule of the english language and then we will talk to the list in spanish..., indeed, we must admit it, the problem is that here at the CSOA there's only one
person that speaks correct english ( and he's not always available), apart from the never-sleeping giuliano, who translated our message.
For us it will be good to use spanish as second language of information exchange. Furthermore, we propose that at the also, in function of the translators, one uses the spanish as second language. And this not only for us, but for all those who don't speak english.
It would be good that at least the most important messages were translated from english to spanish and vice-versa. somebody can do it?
The matter of the moderators looks to us unavoidable and as a fact we use this method from more than three years in our weekly assemblies at the Molino. The moderators should be four and able to switch eche others during the day. As a moderator, we mean a person who, whit the help of
another one, takes care to transcrube the successions of the interventions of the participants, to give the right to tald to those who have it , to stop any hiddle or never-ending intervention, so to keep a fluent speech on line with the themes of the meeting.

The political committee of "Il Molino" confirms the availability of Il
Molino for the organization of the European meeting on July 8 - 11.

>From the discussion emerged the following proposals:

1. The discussion should be divided into two main segments:

First, a full evaluation of the Caravan month. This could take the first
day and a half, from thurday to friday afternoon.

Second, how to turn the existing ICC network into a coordination network
for the european antagonist realities - and this could be discussed from
friday afternoon to sunday.

What do you think about it?

2. The discussion should not be limited to the realities which partecipated to the Caravan, but, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday should be as enlarged as possible.

A political document will be mailed in the next days.

Some more points:

- Camping is possible. In case of bad weather, people will sleep inside the Social Center - the same for people without tend.

- The kitchen can guarantee up to 50 - 60 meals, twice a day + breakfast. A provisory fee has been established in 10 Swiss francs per day. Polish and Czech camarades will pay the twice-political price of 5 francs per day.

- Any kind of help (especially in cooking and cleaning) will be most welcomed.
