XM24 – Spazio Pubblico Autogestito in Bolognina, che da 17 anni riempie i locali di via Fioravanti 24 di storie, laboratori, momenti circo-mirabolanti di festa e di discussione, lampi di Altrimenti, è di nuovo sotto attacco. L’amministrazione comunale per l’ennesima volta intima di lasciare gli spazi dell’ex mercato, per inghiottirli nel delirante processo di gentrificazione del quartiere Navile. Ancora una volta, nella Storia Infinita di questa infinita battaglia, ci troviamo a dover fermare il Nulla della speculazione e dell’interesse politico per ribadire con forza la necessità e la meravigliosità della nostra esistenza. Il 29 Giugno la città scende in piazza a fianco di XM24, per tutto questo e molto di più, ma non solo…
XM24 durante questi lunghi 17 anni è stato un laboratorio aperto di sperimentazione musicale, teatrale, cinematografica e artistica in ogni direzione possibile. Un luogo vissuto da una massa gigantesca di persone differenti che della loro diversità hanno fatto un’arma, dando vita a queste sperimentazioni. E per questo l’attacco a XM24 non è solo rivolto a uno spazio fisico ma ancora peggio alla possibilità stessa che spazi come questo offrono a chi produce cultura dal basso e crede nella possibilità di vivere in maniera diversa e migliore.
Facciamo appello a tutti i musicisti di strada. Il Nulla che avanza ha pensato di metterli fuori legge, di regolamentarli con la solita strategia: la libertà di esprimersi sì ma solo entro certi confini delimitati dalla messa a reddito di un territorio urbano sempre più prodotto di marketing. A tutti i musicisti di strada va perciò l’invito di XM24 a partecipare al corteo del 29 accompagnandolo e suonando nelle modalità e nello stile che piu’ preferiscono. Se il Nulla vuole annullare la musica libera, la musica libera esploderà in tutti i modi possibili il 29 giugno.
Ma non solo. Facciamo appello a tutto il mondo dell’arte e dello spettacolo per sostenere un’esperienza di autogestione e sperimentazione che in un mondo sempre più oscuro, in cui rischiamo di essere condannati al Nulla della desertificazione culturale e dell’ignoranza al potere, rappresenta un’isola fondamentale.
Questa storia, che vogliamo continui ad essere infinita, è la storia di tutte noi, perchè in questi spazi di libertà possiamo continuare a costruire un mondo che resiste al nulla che ci minaccia.
Il messaggio è semplice: “29 giugno a Bologna con Xm24”. In questa giornata vogliamo portare in giro per la città tutta l’energia che abbiamo e vorremmo che fino a quella data se ne parli il più possibile.
Chiediamo una foto, un video, una performance, un freestyle, un disegno, qualche verso, o qualsiasi altra cosa con un cartello con scritto questo semplice ma immediato messaggio. Lasciamo spazio alla creatività e alla sperimentazione, ogni contributo è ben accetto. Anche il 29 giugno stesso ci sarà lo spazio per cantare, suonare, recitare, agire, chiunque voglia partecipare con noi a questa giornata è benvenuta.

Call for artists for XM24 – AGAINST THE SPREADING NOTHING
XM24 – Self-organized Public Space in Bolognina, which for 17 years fills the spaces of via Fioravanti with stories, workshops, amazing moments of celebration and discussion, flashes of Otherwise, is again under attack. The municipal administration for the umpteenth time intimates to leave tha spaces of the former market to swallow them into the delirious process of Navile district’s gentrification. Once again, in the Neverending Story of this neverending batlle, we have to stop he Nothing of speculation and political interest in order to strongly reaffirm the need and the wonder of our existence. On June 29th, the city will take the streets alongside XM24, for all this and much more.
XM24, during these long 17 years, has been an open laboratory of artistic experimentation with music, theatre and visual production. A place experienced by a huge mass of different people who made their diversity a weapon, giving life to make these experiments exist. This is why the attack on XM24 is not only aimed against the physical space but, even worse, against the very fact that places like that coul still exist and keep on offering many possibilities to those who create grassroots culture and believe in a different and greater way to live.
We appeal to all street musicians. The spreading Nothing makes them outlawed, pretending to regulate them with the usual strategy: the freedom to express oneself but only within certain boundaries delimited by the income of an urban territory that is increasingly a product of marketing. XM24 invites all street musicians to join the demonstration of 29th, going with it and playing with the modes and the style they prefer. If the Nothing wants to cancel free music, free music will explode in all the possible ways on June 29th.
But it’s not enough. We call on the whole word of art and entertainment to support an experience of self-organization and experimentation that is a fundamental island in an increasingly obscure world in which we risk being condemned to the Nothing of culturale desertification and ignorance. This story, which we want to keep being endless, is our story, because in these spaces of freedom we can continue to build a world that resists against the nothingness threatens us.
The message is simple: “On 29th of June Bologna is with XM24”. On this day we want to carry around the city all the energy we have and we’d like if, until that moment, everybody will talk about it as much as possible.
We are looking for a photo, a video, a performance, a freestyle, a drawing, some verses or anything else with a sign that says that simple but immediate message.
Let’s free creativity and experimentation, every contribution is welcome.
Therefore, on June 29th there will also be space to sing, play, act, perform: anyone could enjoy this day.
