Tarot Card Found, Believed to Belong to Sniper
|
A tarot card of
death was reportedly left behind by the Washington sniper with
the words, "Dear policeman, I am God,"
Despite the discovery of the card, which was leaked to
reporters, a .223-caliber shell casing that was found in the
woods where the 13-year-old was shot, is still most likely
investigators' best physical evidence as they try to track down
the serial sniper.
Police found the shell casing in a wooded area that
investigators believe would have given the shooter a clear sight
line to where the boy was shot. The shell casing was taken to
the national laboratory of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and
Firearms in Rockville, Md. Ballistics evidence recovered in most
of the shooting cases has been helpful to investigators, ATF
Special Agent Mike Bouchard "Six out of the eight cases that
we've analyzed, ballistics evidence has been valuable," said
Bouchard.
