COMO BASKET CUP 1999

BENVENUTI
Alla I edizione della Como BASKET Cup 1999, un torneo internazionale
giovanile di basket che si svolgerà a Como. Il torneo sarà una grande
occasione per vivere un'intensa settimana di basket in una stupenda
cornice, come quella offerta dal lago di Como. Uno staff preparato,
competizioni di ottimo livello e possibilità di conoscere nuovi amici ti
aspettano alla Como Basket Cup 1999.
LE DATE
La prima edizione della Como Basket Cup verrà disputata dal 6 al 10 Luglio
1999. Sono state invitate a partecipare squadre provenienti da tutto del
mondo. Le iscrizioni si chiuderanno al raggiungimento del numero minimo di
partecipanti.

LA CITTA'
Como è una cittadina di 90,000 abitanti, situata a 40 km da Milano sul
confine Svizzero. Famosa in tutto il Mondo per le sue risorse turistiche.
Le tradizionali feste, le gite sulle moderne motonavi, i numerosi
divertimenti e le attività sportive offrono intrattenimento ai turisti che
desiderano passare una vacanza sul magnifico lago di Como.
FORMULA DEL TORNEO
La Como Basket Cup 1999 verrà giocata su 6 campi differenti situati nel
centro città. Le squadre verranno suddivise in due gironi da 4 squadre per
ogni categoria di gioco. Tutte le squadre disputeranno 3 partite di
qualificazione. Le prime due squadre classificate di ogni girone accedono
alle semifinali. Le altre due squadre disputeranno le finali dal quinto
all'ottavo posto. La Como Basket Cup utilizzerà il regolamento FIBA e sarà
autorizzato dalla Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro. Non ci sono limiti
per il numero di giocatori iscritti al torneo, ma ad ogni incontro le
squadre posso iscrivere a referto solo 12 giocatori.

Torneo Maschile Gruppo A: Nati dal 01.01.83 al 31.12.84

Gruppo B: Nati dal 01.01.85 al 31.12.87
Torneo Femminile Gruppo C: Nate dal 01.01.83 al 31.12.86
PROGRAMMA GENERALE
Martedì 6 Arrivo e registrazione dei partecipanti. Sistemazione e
primo approccio con Como con l'assistenza del nostro
staff. Alla sera cerimonia di apertura.
Mercoledi 7 Nel pomeriggio primo incontro di qualificazione.
Giovedi 8 Nel pomeriggio secondo incontro di qualificazione.
Venerdi 9 In mattinata terzo incontro di qualificazione. In serata
incontri di semifinale e Finali quinto-ottavo posto.
Sabato 10 Nel pomeriggio Finali 1° - 4° posto e
premiazioni.
Domenica 11 Partenza delle squadre.

EVENTI COLLATERALI
Presso il Como Cup Village, sabato 10 e domenica 11 Luglio si svolgerà un
torneo di 3v3 aperto a tutti. Nel corso della stessa settimana della Como
Basket Cup si svolgerà anche il Como Basket Camp con la presenza di
allenatori e giocatori italiani e stranieri. In occasione del torneo verrà
inoltre organizzato un clinic per allenatori e dirigenti con importanti
personalità del mondo del basket. La Como Basket Cup si svolge nella stessa
settimana della Como Football Cup, una manifestazione giovanile di calcio,
con squadre provenienti da 15 nazioni e dai 5 continenti e della Como
Futsal Cup, un torneo giovanile di calcio a 5 per ragazzi e ragazze.
COMO SUPER CARD
Ogni giocatore e accompagnatore delle squadre partecipanti al torneo
riceverà la Como Super Card. La Card permette ai giocatori di prendere
parte alle competizioni ufficiali e di ottenere sconti nei nostri negozi,
libero accesso ai mezzi pubblici, ingresso libero in alcune piscine e musei
e prezzi speciali per la discoteca del torneo e per le feste organizzate.
CAMPI UFFICIALI E CAMPI D'ALLENAMENTO
Tutte gli incontri ufficiali verranno disputati su campi regolamentari
selezionati per il torneo. Su richiesta all'organizzazione si potranno
anche prenotare dei campi per svolgere allenamenti in preparazione delle
gare. L'affitto dei campi di allenamento sarà di Lit. 50.000 orarie.
ISCRIZIONE AL TORNEO
La quota d'iscrizione al torneo è di LIT. 250.000 per squadra. Le
iscrizioni verranno ritenute valide solo al momento del ricevimento della
quota d'iscrizione.
ALLOGGIO E COSTI
Per le squadre provenienti da lontano, la Como Cup offre 3 differenti
possibilità di alloggio:
a) SCUOLA: include pensione completa da Martedi 6 Luglio (cena) alla
Domenica 11 Luglio (colazione) + materassino + Como Super Card . LIT
330.000 per persona.
b) HOTEL: su richiesta e secondo disponibilità.
TRASFERIMENTI E PRANZI
Per le squadre che arrivano senza il proprio bus, offriamo trasferimento, a
pagamento, dall'aereoporto di Milano a Como e, se richiesto, trasporti
giornalieri dagli alberghi ai campi di gioco a prezzi speciali. Durante il
torneo tutti i pranzi verranno serviti al ristorante Como Cup.
(1 pasto completo LIT. 17.000).

ISCRIZIONI E PROCEDURA DI PAGAMENTO
Se volete iscrivere una squadra alla COMO BASKET CUP, dovete fornire all'
organizzazione:
entro il 31 Maggio 1999:
- tutti i dettagli della squadra (nome, colore della maglia, etc...)
- nome, indirizzo, telefono, e-mail del Responsabile del Team.
- lista dei nomi dei partecipanti (dati anagrafici, atleti e acc.).
- 2 foto per ogni partecipante atleta o accompagnatore.
- 1 copia del passaporto o del documento d'identità per ogni
partecipante.
- Copia del versamento della tassa di iscrizione di LIT 250.000 per
squadra (non rimborsabile) unitamente al pagamento del 30% del costo totale
di alloggio.
entro il 15 Giugno 1999
- Il pagamento del rimanente 70% del costo totale di alloggio.
- Qualsiasi cambiamento necessario riguardante la squadra.
ASSICURAZIONE
Tutti i giocatori dovranno essere assicurati ed essere in possesso del
Certificato di Idoneità rilasciato dal centro di Medicina Sportiva.
L'organizzazione della Como Basket Cup non si considererà responsabile per
nessun infortunio, danneggiamento o incidente occorso ai giocatori o
accompagnatori.

WELCOME

to the Como Basket Cup 1999. This year, Como hosts the first edition of the
youth international Basket tournament "Como Basket Cup". The event will
offer the great chance to live an entire week of basketball in the
beautiful setting of Lake Como. High level competitions, well prepared
staff and a chance to know new friends and have fun together.
THE DATES
The first edition of the Como Basket Cup will be played from 6th to 10th
July; teams from all over the world have been invited to take part in the
competition and applications for entry will be accepted until minimum
number is reached.
WHAT HAPPENS THIS YEAR
* 24 teams * 6 courts * 54 matches * Staff of 80 people * Opening ceremony
* Como Cup Village - service centre of the tournament with area for the
coaches, press office, playground, food stalls.
THE CITY
Como is a beautiful city with 90,000 inhabitants, situated 40 km far from
Milan on the Swiss border. The city is well known all over the world as
tourist resort. The colourful traditional feasts, the cruises on modern
motorships, the numerous leisure and sports activities offer entertainment
to all the tourists who want to spend their holidays on the shores of
magnificent Lake Como.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Como Basket Cup 1999 will be played on 6 different courts situated in
the city centre. Teams will be divided in 2 rounds with 4 teams for each
play category. All the teams will play three matches in the qualifying
session: the 2 teams ranking first in each round will reach the semifinals.
The other two teams will play for the 5th and 8th placement in the finals.
FIBA rules for 1998-99 will be applied in the tournament with the
authorization of the Italian Basket federation. There are no limits to the
number of players taking part in the competition, but only 12 players per
team are allowed per each match.
AGE CATEGORIES
Boys Group A: 1.1.83 - 31.12.84
Group B: 1.1.85 - 31.12.87
Girls Group C: 1.1.83 - 31.12.87
GENERAL PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
Tue 6 Arrival and registration of the participants. Accommodation
and first approach to Como with the assistance of our staff.
Evening opening ceremony and presentation of the tournament
with the coaches.
Wed 7 First qualification match in the afternoon.
Thu 8 Second qualification match in the afternoon.
Fri 9 Third qualification match in the morning. Semifinals and final
for 5th and 8th placement in the evening.
Sat 10 Finals for 1st/ 4th placement in the afternoon;
at the end, distribution of prizes.
Sun 11 Departure.

SOCIAL EVENTS
A 3 v. 3 players tournament will be organized in the Como Cup Village
Saturday, July 10, and will end on the following day, Sunday July 11.
During the same week of the Como Basket Cup, a Basket Camp will be
organized, with the participation of Italian and foreign coaches and
players. The Como Basket Cup takes place in the same week of the Como
Football Cup, the most important youth football competition in Italy,
hosting teams from 15 nations all over the world. During the same week,
there will be also a futsal tournament for boys and girls between 9 and 18
years. Moreover, the Como Cup Village will be at disposal of the
participants of both manifestations throughout the whole week and will be
an important meeting point where girls and boys will have the chance to
join, organize sports activities and have fun during some special meetings
created by the organization staff. The Como Cup Village will be your second
home for the whole week
COMO SUPER CARD
Each player and delegate of the participating teams will receive the Como
Super Card. This card allows the players to take part in the official
competitions and will grant discounts in our shops, free public
transportation, free entry in some swimming pools and museums, special
price to enter the tournament disco and the Village parties.
OFFICIAL AND TRAINING COURTS
All official matches will be played on professional courts chosen for the
event. On request, the organization will reserve specific training fields
where to prepare the teams for the official competitions. The use of
training fields will cost 50.000 ITL each hour.
ENTRY FEE
The tournament entry fee is ITL 250.000 per team. Entry will be registered
only when the entry fee has been received.
ACCOMMODATIONS & COSTS
The Como Basket Cup offers two different possibilities for teams coming
from distant countries.
a) SCHOOL: including full board from Tue, July 6 (dinner) to Sun, July 11.
(breakfast+mattress+Como Super Card): ITL 330.000
b) HOTEL: on request, according to availability.
TRANSFERS & MEALS
For teams arriving without their own bus, we offer transfer from Milan
Airport to Como and, on request, daily transfer from the hotels to the
courts at special rates. APT Milan- Como: on request.
During the tournament all meals will be served at the Como Cup restaurants
(1 complete meal: ITL 17,000).
APPLICATION AND PAYMENT PROCEDURE
If you want to register a team in the Como Basket Cup, you must return to
the organization:
within May 31th 1999
- all team details (name, uniform colour)
- name, address phone number and e-mail of the team manager
- list of the names of all participants (private data of players, managers...)
- 2 photos for each participant (player and manager)
- 1 copy of the passport for each player
- copy of the payment of the registration fee (250,000 ITL) per team (non
refundable) and 30% of the total accommodation costs.

INSURANCE
Every player must be insured and be allowed to play by their countries’
medical sports association. They must be sanctioned by the Italian Basket
Federation or their own countries Basket Associations. The organization of
the Como Basket Cup is not responsible for any injury, damage or accident
occurred to players or delegates.
