SPA resolute on the crisis overcome
Socialist Party will not take decisions to deepen the crisis.
SPA chairmanship analyzed the actual situation on its Saturday meeting, after the last arbitrary action of the parliament, which blocked the legislative initiative of the National Reconciliation Government.
SPA chairmanship came to the conclusion that, the political and institutional crisis runs the risk of coming back to its starting point, countering with Berisha old politics, dictate, institutions controlled of one person, with the new cooperation politics, consensus, partnership, institutions which support and control each other.
This crisis is and has remained an institutional one. As it is obvious even these two last months, Berisha power has blocked up every attempts of the Government of National Reconciliation to hold free, fair elections in our country.
This crisis has been and remains fierce. It has not completely been erupted in the economic aspect, the consequences of which we will suffer for long. Hence, economic solutions should be found parallel to the political ones, based on domestic and foreign factors.
Analysing the current situation, the way how the election law was passed, the dissolution of the Parliament, shunning of the law approved by the political parties round table, from which the Government of the National Reconciliation was created, the poll day announcement, the lack of consensus with the political parties to secure international negotiators support - SP chairmanship appreciates that the support of the Government of the National Reconciliation for free and fair elections can not be secured based on this approved law. This, because of that kind of law which disfavours the small political parties, leaving aside its later deformations or manipulations.
The election administration is far from democratic concepts, it is still under the pressure of the state old administration and no guarantee is given this administration will carry out the elections as in May 26th.
We should have urgent responses to the following factors as being sure that law does not give the guarantee for free and fair elections and the failure to reach the political agreement in the round party tables that have created this Government, national and international agreements from which the parties have not taken the necessary decisions to guarantee an electoral process monitored and controlled for fair and free elections.
This, because Government of National Reconciliation can give the answer and solution for the free electoral process and monitored electoral final result, unless it cooperates with them.
Based on this, repeating its stand, SP concludes that the alternatives between the violence and institutional and democratic elections, between a Government of National Reconciliation and a puppet Government, discrimination of small political parties or partner ones, banning or partnership, dialogue and construction, boycott or integration, is resolute to the long - term, emancipated and democratic alternatives.
Taking important political decisions asks for discussions in the most important party forums, not only of the socialist electorate interest but even of all albanians. This is to be carried out in conformity with our political stand, within the shortest time our country needs.
In this framework we demand:
1- President urgently, in conformity with the demands of the round parties table, that have created the Government of National Reconciliation, Government and international organism for the preparations on 29 June elections, with the participation of all international components and engagements, to express unless he is disposable or not to make the necessity amendments related to the election law.
2 - Government of National Reconciliation should continue to function in support of its organisms and in cooperation with international partnerships, only for free and fair elections, defend order , state from degeneration and further anarchy.
3 - Socialist Party, in its final estimation and responsibilities to 29 June elections, will never take decisions for the deepening of the crisis but for its overcome, restore Albania to normality. It will ask for the actual collaboration actual among political parties and partnership. Its stand should be in full accordance with other leftist and central political parties , and it will never counter the legitime people's demands to secure from them the support for a fair and free electoral process.
That's why, SPA will continuously give its maximal contribution to reach the consensus, to support the Government of National Reconciliation and the sensibility of the international factor, prepare the party and electoral structures so that to insure a free and fair electoral campaign and the opposition victory.
