The electoral rose was present in the Albanian capital two days ago by some 30.000 socialists roses, providing, like this, a clear message of the so much expected victory of the Albanian opposition. Socialists assembled the day before yesterday in Tirana so many supporters, Berisha has not manage to gather in ten districts of the country, so far.
Thousand of people greeted the first socialist electoral step in the big combat of June 29-th. Hand in hand, socialist leader came in front of the big chorus, who used to cheer uninterruptedly: "Down with dictatorship", "Sali, get down of the horse, Ismail Qemali is coming", "The socialist will win", "The red will win". But, Tirana people could not forget the initiators of the popular protests, that's why they did not stop cheering "Vlora, Vlora, Vlora". Homage to the martyr town, but, solidarity, at the same time, to send the country to June 29-th victory, the day which will mark the end of the dictatorship.
Local socialist leader, Ulqini, ended the solidarity message with Vlora people with the words of one of our great Renascence writer and philosopher, saying that "the best days will come".
For the first time, after three years of imprisonment, the leader of the biggest Albanian opposition, Fatos Nano, transmitted to the people present in the rally and to all the Albanians, despite of their political views, optimistic, peaceful messages, an appeal to be orientated towards the friendly West.
"In these last six years, the Albanian people's sacrifices and attempts resulted fruitless, started his speech Mr. Nano. It was Berisha's clan who made use of these sacrifices. No compass was used to orientate the country in these six years. It remained voiceless, isolated, without being led by a serious policy. It lost in these six years. Under Sali Berisha's government and the fatal policy attended in these years, Albania, without a national settled policy, remained at the edge of the Balkans, Mediterranean area, too far from Europe, sliding down to Islamic organisms.
This fraudulent and irresponsible government, non appropriate and dangerous, plunged the country's economy to chaos, to complete bankruptcy, the people into desperation and their lives into tragedy, went on Mr. Nano.
The set up trap with the so-called profiting companies, which made use of the situation and stole the people, the country's paralytic economic life, top officials' misadministration and their zealousness to profit as much as possible, pushed the country into a catastrophe.
All the Government's activity, especially, in the economic field, its support for the fraudulent companies, proved that its promises and its cheques were simply a fraud. That's why the people raised their voice and the fist, at the same time: That's all! Let's put an end to it.
All of us know quite well that there is no North and South division, as Berisha confesses, and it will never be. Albania is one, one country, without differences.
There will be no peace in the country with Berisha. The dictatorship and monarchy did not manage to civilize the country.
In the coming elections, the people, all over Albania, will vote against Berisha and his clan in Democratic Party. They will cast their vote for the Socialist Party and the progressive opposition, because they want:
- A normal Albania, to all the Albanians;
- A European Albania and not an Asian-Islamic Albania;
- A Western Albania and not a Stalinist-Eastern Albania;
- The people will vote for the state in man's service and not for the man making use of the state!
- They will vote for free and civilised coexistence and not for violence and enslavement, in exchange of the daily bread, work and property in Berisha's DP's offices;
- They will vote for a market economy and a social state, where everyone should be treated as a free individual, under equal legal protection;
- We will reconstruct Albania, democracy, Republic's parliament, banks, courts, police, army, the domestic and foreign capitals and assets, according to European standards, for you and not for a handful of thieves and bandits dressed with the political power.
All of us, together, should construct a normal and a European Albania, for all the Albanians, where the decisions have to be taken by people and it will be people, again, who should materialise them.
Our program is an overall presentation of our views, of our goals and orientations, which, to us, is the most saint contract with the Albanian people, the most sincere presentation of our political identity.
We demand the people to go through any kind of our suggestions and issues, any points of our program we thoroughly will discuss, in order to face the people, to get their opinions and to step forward under the same rhythms.
People's force and Socialist Party will make forward together and they will win. The rivers do not change their flow.
Socialist Party ensures the construction of a real modern state. It will provide a new connotation to the state institutions. The man will be equipped with new values. Albanian has an opportunity: to progress. Socialist Party is a responsible force, is a perspective force. All together for the motherland's integration to Europe and for its future. All together for the big victory, for the new march and new dreams", ended his speech Mr. Nano.
While the SP Secretary of Public Relations, Majko, said that "SPA starts today the road of changes, on behalf of all the Albanian opposition. On behalf of the SPA and its leading staff, I have the honour to thank the international factor and Mr. Vranitzky, in particular, for the solutions provided to bring to normality Albanian's process. At the end, underlined Mr. Majko, I would like to remind here the heroic Vlora, the blooded Vlora, which forced this regime to surrender. There will not be honest elections under the state of emergency, with paramilitary recruited troops. We want equal elections, which will guarantee victory to Socialist Party".
The crowed received with great enthusiasm the address of the ministers of the Reconciliation Government to them. For minutes in succession they used to cheer "Fino, Fino!". Then the Minister of Finances, Vlora origin, Malaj, among other things said: "I am very proud that I represent here the people of heroic Vlora, the town of protest against the regime. Berisha should seek the rebels not in Vlora, but among those who ambushed the Primer in Bushat. We joined the Government not the save Berisha, but to save all the Albanians. I greet you, on behalf of the Primer, Fino, who is today in Holland, where the West is celebrating the 50 anniversary of the "Marshal Plan", by carrying, on our shoulders, as socialists, the nobel mission to convince Europe and USA to be committed into a "Marshal Plan" for the Albanian's future.
"It is of no doubt that the socialist are on the verge of a great and important victory, which will open a new epoch to Albania, said among other things "Eurosocialist" leader, Meta, that of the real democracy, inspired in December 1990, and violated in these last years".
Then, other socialist lecturer addressed to the participants in the electoral rally, by transmitting other peaceful and victorious messages.
