Nano in Athens
SPA Chairman is invited for an official visit to Athens, where he is going to have important political contacts. After his successful electoral tour in the Southern part of Albania, the socialist leader has travelled, two days ago, for Athens, where he is going to meet top political personalities of the Greek Government and state and, Albanians, who live and work in Greece.
Tepelene: Your free vote will remove Berisha
In the electoral rally held in Tepelena, the leader of Socialist Party, Fatos Nano, greeted the participants and laid down the electoral alternatives on behalf of SPA. Among other things, he stated:
Your goals and sacrifices, embodied in the people's uprise, in all the Southern part of Albania and in the antiberishian people's revolt allover Albania, from South to North, is on the verge to be finalised now. The coming elections, your free vote will remove, once and forever, Sali Berisha, from the political power.
The elections are our strong weapon, the big chance to put an end to the country's evil thing. There were the overall protests, people's dissatisfaction, the pressure of the international institutions and democratic public opinion, which forced Berisha to decree the general elections. It is true that Berisha is not on the favour of holding general elections, because he already knows their final result. Berisha is hardly stopping his disapproval for these elections, by creating dangerous precedents to postpone or to cancel at all the elections. He knows very well that through the elections of June 29, in which he can not manipulate like on May 26, he will seal the end of his regime.
In these elections, Socialist Party and the other democratic progressive forces of the country will win for sure.
The victory in these elections is of great importance to SPA, which, with its mankind, intellectual and moral potentialities, with the capability to cooperate and co-govern with all the other progressive political forces and with the unsaved well-wishing support of the Euro-Atlantic democratic World, will soon and successfully resolve the Albanian current crisis with all its problems.
Our full conviction, went on Mr. Nano, that we will overpass the actual great difficulties, is the result of SPA capabilities, educational background, determination and courage to face and resolve them.
Berisha mentioned once again the "white cheque". We possess the "white cheque", because we will get 100 percent money back from Berisha and his corruptive collaborators, who stole your money. But, it is not a "white cheque" any more. It is dyed with your blood, your sweat, your honour, sacrifices, that's why it has to be returned to you in 100 percent of its value.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Please, believe me that I have not come here to make any electoral campaign. I have come here just to meet you, because I have missed you. I know that now it is not the time to make such visits, but we will do them in the near future. Then, we will be free and peaceful, without DP and Berisha at the top of the Albanian administration, without the concern that Berisha's mercenaries are among us.
Permet: The elections will take place and Berisha will loose
Berisha's villainy is now obvious, addressed SPA chairman, Fatos Nano, to the numerous participant in the SPA electoral rally in Permet. Such a historic crisis has grasped nowadays all the country. State, army, public order, national economy and family budget were distorted. The persons who caused of all the unrest, instead of disappearing from the political arena by apologising for what they have done, are so much shameful to tour around, make promises and ask your votes. But, I am fully convinced that in these elections they will get what they deserve.
We are on the verge of the general elections now. Sali Berisha, though for some two weeks now is campaigning, is trying hard to inhale these elections. But the elections will take place and he will loose. This is people's will today and this will be their decision tomorrow.
Our determination to win in these elections is based on our programming goals and our obligation to our people, who deserve and should be better governed. SPA is able to realise that. It is so much responsible and has the courage to face difficulties, to immediate overcome the overall and multidimensional crisis present in Albania and to bring to Albanians back to normality and the country to prosperity.
We will govern together with all the real democratic political forces. We will make use of all our country's productive capacities and our national assets and will put them into our people's service. We will know how to cooperate with the World and foreign investors. SPA government will be based on law and Constitution.
SPA electoral program is compiled, by taking into consideration our needs and our real possibilities to meet them. We promise what we can realise, ended his speech in Permet, Mr. Nano.

Dibra confident to the united left victory
Under the great enthusiasm of the participants in SP-SDP electoral meeting in Diber and their cheering "We are unique North to South, Berisha can not split", the floor was given to socialist local leader, Cibaku, who offered the support of Dibra electorate for the progressive left.
Then, it was SPA General Secretary, Prof. Doc. Rexhep Mejdani, who greeted the participants on behalf of SPA and its chairman, Fatos Nano. He stated that people consider SPA and the united left as serous political forces, which think about them. We are not based on pyramids, but, on real programs, investments, effective projets, in cooperation with the democratic World, underlined Mr. Mejdani.
We, socialists, are looking for the political power through the free elections, through the free vote and we will be confident to them. We are for the Albanians' unity, for the coexistence, for the honest coalitions. SPA-SDP coalition and that with other progressive democratic political forces, as well, will remove, once and forever, Berisha's dictatorial regime from the political arena. Cast your ballots for the honest Dibra people, the socialists Fehmi Abdiu and Kadri Rrapi and for the socialdemocrat, Paskal Milo.
Though Milo is from Vlora, he said that "in Dibra I feel myself at home, because North and South are unique". The participants burst into cheering "Vlora, Vlora". Then the floor was given to SPA Secretary of Foreign Relations, Lakrori. Among other things he said that "the United Europe and USA support the real democracy in Albania, which is represented nowadays with dignity by the Albanian left. Even the Party of the European Socialists has welcomed and will strongly support SPA-SDP coalition", said Mr. Lakrori.
Then the participants were greeted by the other candidates for deputies, who will compete in this area.
