1) INTEGRATION, ASSIMILATION, CITIZENSHIP WICH ALTERNATIVE ?

Differences and confrontation between the different models we can see in some european countries :

What are our options of common life in breaking with the capitalist system? How to conciliate the right for each culture to exist in the same time we are fighting against all form of exploitation and domination ?

How to answer the question of identity, question of communautarian and nationalist turning-back ?

Can we propose an active citizenship in reply of political visions from the "social-democrats" and from the liberal-democrats ?

We will speak in this workshop about :

2) NORTH/SOUTH RELATIONS : SEPARATED DEVLOPMENT AND SOCIAL APARTHEID

By their struggle, the "Sans Papiers" made clear their will to live where they want. In a world where goods and money are going more freely than men and women, the problematic concerns less the existence of immigration than the inequal exchanges in an international level. To be more clear, between the developped countries and the rest of the world.

Since the sixties, development has been the alibi of all the policies made in the third world countries. "Poor countries" were supposed to arrive at the same level than the "rich countries" by industrialisation and model just copied on the occidental way.

Development was the background of colonisation. Will economic mondialisation be the background of global development ?

Separated development is part of an ideological conception of relations between societies, that means a hierarchisation of cultures and societies.

Does social apartheid, if it exists in an international level, exist also inside the occidental countries ? Does the struggle of the "Sans Papiers" express this apartheid which is concerning so far the "migrant" and the non-guaranteed worker and the jobless ?

3) STRUGGLES OF THE "SANS PAPIERS" AND EUROPEAN RESISTANCES AGAINST DISCRIMINATION LAWS

Since months in France, the struggle of the "Sans Papiers" have made actual the old global fight for equality and the migrants' will to leave clear and free. This struggle changed during those 8 last months.

What have been the different steps? Which links with the people? What have been the difficulties? Why this movement is no more an isolated one and why is it a real social movement, able to attack the theorical basis of the capitalist system?

In regard of european laws, we can perceive that there is an urgent need to construct an european solidarity: today, with Schengen and Dublin treaties, the same laws are attacking all the migrants communities living in Europe.

Quotas of foreigners by countries and by economic sectors seems to be a will of some of europeans capitalists.

Capitalism never had any problem to organize through the borders. The goal of the Bourgeoisie is to break all the different struggles ("Sans-Papiers", workers, joblesses...) to control them and organize repression. How can we make an unity of all struggles of all exploited against the common enemy and organize in an international level?

Delegations of the "Sans Papiers" de Saint-Bernard, of the 3rd parisian collective, of residents from immigrants' house "Nouvelle France", of Movement from Immigration and Suburbs (MIB), and maybe of collectif of "Sans Papiers" from Nantes, Lille, Nimes... will be present.
